A reimagining of its counterpart, MXW II fractures and flexes its soft industrial core with glitchy mechanics and rhythmic shadows. Both artists are not afraid to showcase a distinctive balance between sharp electrical collisions and densely layered ambient motifs.
The swell of soundscapes on these eight sonic slices is baffling. The sheer avalanche of flickering melodies and percussive juggling is baffling, coming together in a massive collection that seems to grow upon itself from its slushy intro to its murky closure, what lies in between is a smorgasbord of beautiful data flows and crunchy modular fizz-fuzz. The magnitude of blissful sounds bend and twist into surreal and cinematic shapes that it’s unfathomable how these two talented musicians can execute with such refined precision. A very worthwhile traverse across multi-layered abstract electronics that continues to move us.
